polarizers is evaluated from factors such as scattering inside
the crystal, the quantity of striae or schlieren (optically inhomogenous
regions), the polishing quality and the flatness of optical surfaces.
These in turn will influence functional factors such as spectral
range, useful aperture, extinction coefficient and resistance
to laser damage.
So, There are two instances
in which you might need to know more about optical calcite. First,
you may need to determine the performance of optical component
in a particular application. Second, you may need specific information
when selecting the optical calcite for a custom component. The

Specifications
